Hello, a quick word to let you know results of the BBQ sauce contest and links to the sites when we get them
Last October, we were in a MAN UP BBQ sauce contest called Gettin’ Sauced out of Austin Texas. 3 of our 6 submissions placed, 2 of them in the first place in their categories. http://manuptexasbbq.blogspot.com/2016/10/gettin-sauced-bottled-contest-winners.html Here is the link to their site. While this one did not earn a ribbon or cash award, it was great to know that Texas likes our sauces.
Next Up is the American Royal BBQ Sauce Contest The judging was May 7th and the results should be posted my May 12th. http://www.americanroyal.com/bbq/may-events/sauce-contest/ This one comes with ribbons, cash prize and if by chance one of our sauces are named best on the planet, we may get a trip to their Labor Day event in Kansas City Mo.
5/11/2017 The results were posted yesterday. We submitted 6 of our sauces in 4 different categories. Those categories were Mild tomato, Hot tomato, specialty, and mustard. They stated they received 606 submissions from around the world, the farthest away being Melbourne Australia. Sauces were sent in from 32 different states. They gave awards to the top 3 in each category and one highest rating sauce was named Best Sauce on the Planet. Of our 6 entries, non placed in the top 3 of any category. Our Tangy mustard was ranked as 4th best mustard but it had the same score overall as the 3rd place winner. 
Next up is the Sauckers BBQ sauce contest which is billed as the Oscars of bq sauce. this contest in Quincey Ma. This contest has metals, certificates, and cash prize if we win 1st place. They have 6 categories, Tomato mild, Tomato Spicy, Mustard, vinegar, fruit, and specialty. they also say that all winners get front page placement on bbq sauce reviews for a year, and if we win can showcase the Sauckers logo on the label, use in publications, and websites. Judging will be August 26th with results posted the 27th.
